Visual merchandising is all about developing your retail space and displays in a beautiful way, ensuring that products are placed in such a way that their features are highlighted and eye-catching.
This year has been so busy, we’ve been chatting about changing the window display of our shop for a while now – but time keeps passing by! Well…we take Thursdays as our day off (in theory, not so much in practice!). So, on Thursday last week we loaded up the van and headed to the shop. It was finally time to create a new display!
The conversation between Mr H and I went something like this:
Me: “I think we should do this”
Mr H: “I don’t think that will work”
Me: “Can we give it a go?”
Mr H: “If we must”
And repeat until display is completed.
I love our new look window – it feels autumnal, has on trend colours and shows designs that POP against the styling.
We then move on to the next conversation between Mr H and I:
Mr H: “It does look okay, let’s see if anything sells from it”
Coral (my daughter): “We’ve just sold a frame out of the window”
Me: “And another…and another…”
Cue my smug little chuckle under my breath – sometimes you just need to give your ideas a go!
